The Estonian Nature Tourism Association (ELTÜ) is a national umbrella organization that brings together nature tourism entrepreneurs and developers across Estonia. Its mission is to highlight the unique character of Estonia’s natural landscapes while improving the quality and visibility of nature-based tourism at both local and international levels. Since 2022, Marilin Pehka has played a central role in this mission as ELTÜ’s project manager, leading several high-impact initiatives.
Under Marilin’s leadership, the association has organized sector-wide strategic events, bringing together key stakeholders (including VisitEstonia, RMK, and the Estonian Rural Tourism Organization) to shape the future of Estonian nature tourism. Her work has focused on expanding into new international markets, especially the UK and Latvia, and creating professional marketing content and tourism packages.
Thanks to her efforts:
The sector's networking capacity has grown through international B2B meetings;
Estonia’s nature tourism has gained greater international exposure;
Cross-border tourism products and marketing platforms have emerged;
Collaborative partnerships have strengthened across the Baltics and beyond, including with Interreg and VisitEstonia.
Marilin is not just a project manager – she’s a community connector, storyteller, and strategic developer, whose contributions are helping shape the future of sustainable tourism in Estonia. Her work at ELTÜ naturally complements her personal mission: to create authentic, local, and educational nature experiences that reflect a deep connection to nature and people.
